Welcome! From Christine Dyck Sehnert. This website is dedicated to information, stories, photos, and genealogy of the ancestors of my paternal Dyck family. The families of my paternal great-grandparents include the names Jacob Dyck (1832-1882) married to Justine Wall (1855-1915?) and Jacob Harder (1849-1937) married to Anna Claassen (1862-1949). Associated family lines include many surnames familiar to those with West Prussian and Russian Mennonite ancestors. They include, but are not limited to, van/von Bergen, Warkentin, Bergmann, Toews, Wiebe and many more.

Most of the written material here has been written by my brother, D. Frederick Dyck, unless otherwise noted. All articles reprinted from “Mennonite Family History” magazine are with permission.

Throughout the articles, books, and information are references to other books and periodicals. Many of these items are available in Mennonite associated libraries. Books can generally be accessed by inter-library loan through a local public library.
